Design Development
- Create detailed design specifications and engineering drawings using CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
- Develop prototypes and models to test and validate design concepts.
- Analyze design feasibility and optimize designs for performance, cost, and manufacturability.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with product managers, engineers, and manufacturing teams to ensure alignment on design goals and project timelines.
- Participate in design reviews, providing input and feedback on design proposals and modifications.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors to source materials and components for designs.
Testing and Validation
- Conduct simulations and tests to evaluate the performance and reliability of designs.
- Identify and address design issues through iterative testing and feedback.
- Document test results and prepare reports for stakeholders.
Compliance and Standards
- Ensure that designs comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and company policies.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies, design trends, and best practices in engineering.
Project Management
- Assist in project planning, estimating timeframes, and resource allocation for design projects.
- Track project progress, adjusting designs and timelines as necessary to meet project goals.
- Provide technical support during the manufacturing process to resolve design-related issues.
Continuous Improvement
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, contributing ideas for design enhancements and efficiency improvements.
Provide training and mentorship to junior engineers and interns as needed
